With news that is sure to make R&B fans everywhere rejoice, Miguel has released details about his new album. The singer recently sat down with Spin magazine, and announced that he would be releasing his sophomore LP, Kaleidoscope Dream, in three parts.
Following the format of his Art Dealer Chic mixtapes, the first EP will have three songs available for streaming starting July 31 on iTunes. The second release will also feature three songs, and is scheduled to hit iTunes on September 11. Miguel will conclude the album with a physical release on October 2 that includes the six songs from the previous EPs and five new tracks.
The “Adorn” singer also gave some insight on the inspiration behind the album’s title. He explained, “I believe dreams represent the purest form of fantasy we unleash through our subconscious. They represent the truest freedom we can experience. Totally unrepressed and totally creative.”
