Idk where this has been hiding but it is no secret I have a well-documented love for both BROODS and their spellbinding debut EP and my unhealthy addiction to Bel Heir which makes a Bel Heir Remix of Broods an almost-immediate pop gem hidden in the wrath of the blogosphere.
In this remix, Bel Heir takes the idyllic pop of “Bridges” and rubbs and twists the original to transform it into a form-fitting offering of acid-washed synths and retro reverb that I could wear forever – aka so comfortable I could snooze in them during my nap and then take them right into happy hour. It’s the perfect weave of boisterous beats and soothing pop that ascends with triumphant twists and turns – especially during that chorus. The whole thing plays out like one dreamy indie Tinder match where expectations of what these two would sound like together turn into a reality.
