Mixtape: June – “Old Inglish EP”

Awhile ago I solicited Twitter for new music to listen to and I received this project. It’s taken me this long to finally be able to appreciate just what a dope effort this is. June, a DMV transplant originally from Indianapolis, released this project using beats from the two Chuck Inglish instrumental tapes “WRKING” and “WRKOUT”.

The best way to describe June’s flow is like a mix of Skyzoo and Pimp C. There are tracks where he uses the slower, more emphasized flow and other tracks where he quickly speeds through his verses with precision. Both styles come across well and really add variety to the tracks. Not to mention a 3 minute saxophone solo interlude on “Vacation Daze”. Standout tracks include both versions of “Put Me On”, “Coolin n Foolin”, and “The Baptism”. This is a great easy listen and one you will find yourself checking out again and again.

The project can be downloaded on June’s Bandcamp page, and June can be reached through his Twitter page.

This is another standout beat from those Chuck Inglish tapes.
